 UPDATE: Bargains Can Be Had As Prices Drop!

The initial dilemma when Smashion listed these condoms for sale on Grailed was: How do you price the damn things? As you can see, we opted for astronomical, though Carol Christian Poell generally isn’t cheap and these babies are rare.

Grailed seemed to be fine with the black condom, which went live within a reasonable timeframe. But there was a delay with the white (or more accurately, cream) one. An email to Grailed’s support line yielded a rather curious response: The condom required additional review by a “curation team.” My, my! Smashion’s motto when it comes to fashion is Curation=Death, but whatever. We waited with baited breath for a decision…

Ultimately, Smashion realized the cream condom had passed muster when this popped up on the phone. (A few people were already abuzz about the black one, so “another one” had to mean cream.)

In fact, there were plenty of messages and comments popping up on the phone. *sigh Waking up to some of these in the morning was, well, less than refreshing but Smashion soldiered on in pursuit of a sale.

Did I oil it up? That would be a no. And so far, no takers for the condoms. Where are all the devoted collectors, the CCP connoisseurs? Waiting for the deepest of discounts? The prices have been stepped down week-by-week, as is Grailed custom. Right now, the black one is $2,551, the cream $2,205. What a steal, don't you think?
